The company has officially moved its home municipality to Hämeenlinna. When moving from a sole trader to a limited company, I didn’t give much thought to how the company municipality would affect where I can participate. I just figured that the place I live is the place the company has to be also.

Hattula is a great place to live, but a terrible place if you want to develop a business (unless it’s local and selling b2c.. and even then it’s a risk). This year I was in contact with the people responsible for ‘business development’ in Hattula and despite my efforts, no one ever got back to me. They don’t seem to have any plans in place for helping anyone in this municipality and their entrepreneur morning coffees seem to have been a dud.

So now we are in Hämeenlinna where there are actually services and people able to help me grow the company and get the word out there. Here are some great resources if you are planning on starting a company in Hämeenlinna. These resources are in Finnish but I know these people speak English as well.
